Leopard Geckos are one of the most popular pet reptiles, particularly for beginners. They are hardy, relatively easy to care for and well known for their gentle temperament.
Housing & Enclosure Requirements
Leopard Geckos require a secure terrestrial enclosure with warm and cool areas.
Minimum enclosure size (adult):
90 × 45 × 45 cm (36 × 18 × 18 inches)
Key enclosure elements:

Diet & Nutrition

Juveniles usually eat daily, while adults typically eat 2–3 times per week. Calcium and vitamin supplements should be used regularly to support healthy bones and growth.
Temperament & Handling
Leopard Geckos are known for their calm and gentle nature, making them one of the most handleable reptiles.
With regular, gentle interaction they often become comfortable with being handled. However, they should always be supported properly and never grabbed suddenly.
Like many reptiles, they may drop their tail if stressed, although it will gradually regrow over time.
